Vice President, Environmental Remediation Engineer

WSP is seeking a high‑level professional to advance our environmental consulting business in California and the West. The role focuses on consulting, selling, managing, designing, and implementing Environmental Multi‑media Remediation programs for clients in the Industrial, Government, Energy, Oil & Gas, and Transportation sectors.
Responsibilities- Perform business development within the Oil & Gas and Industrial/Commercial sectors for environmental remediation, engineering, and related services.
- Design, oversee, mentor, and direct the efforts of staff‑ and project‑level engineers.
- Assist preparation of technical reports and proposals.
- Collaborate effectively with Service Line Leaders, Sector Leads, and other senior executives.
- Manage multiple projects; ensure deliverables, schedules, and budgets are achieved.
- Travel to projects as needed for execution and business development.
- Meet sales, revenue, and delivery goals.
- BS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or a related engineering field.
- California (Civil) Professional Engineer’s license.
- 12+ years of environmental remediation and sales experience.
- Strong work ethic and project management experience.
- Self‑starter, team‑oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with remediation/assessment projects involving the Regional Quality Water Quality Control Board, DTSC, or local CUPAs.
- Ability to mentor and direct engineers and technicians.
- Experience with CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board, and other CA EPA programs.
- Consulting experience with petroleum contamination clean‑ups in soil and groundwater (LNAPL) and/or chlorinated solvent contamination (soil and groundwater).
- Experience with soil gas and vapor intrusion issues.
- Developing and managing complex engineering design and design‑build projects.
- Oversee remedy construction and operation/maintenance of environmental projects.
- Pass drug test, physical, background check; valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
- 40‑Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) or equivalent.
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training.

CompensationCalifornia: $180,000 – $270,000. Final salary may vary based on qualifications and location.
