Apple's growing wireless silicon development team is seeking an exceptional candidate for its modeling and verification team.
In this role, you will be modeling & verifying Analog/RF/Mixed-Signal blocks and SOCs using System Verilog to create behavioral models, test benches, checkers and tests. You will build and execute test plans to meet project schedules and quality requirements. You will become part of a hands-on development team that fosters engineering excellence, creativity and innovation. - Develop accurate and simulation-efficient analog behavioral models for Analog/RF blocks in System Verilog.
- Build and reuse monitors, and checkers for RF, Mixed-Signal and Digital blocks.
- Debug failures, fix testbench/model/checker issues, manage bug tracking, etc.
- Write scripts for automation of the flow and improve Mixed-Signal verification methodology.
- Develop models that are emulation ready.
- Minimum requirement of a bachelors degree.
- Self-motivated individual contributor with a strong passion for the team's success.
- Hands-on experience in Mixed-Signal Verification and Real Numbered Modeling of Mixed-Signal Systems.
- Knowledge of any of the ubiquitous wireless technologies:
WiFi, BT, UWB or radio systems in general. - Knowledge of basic analog circuits: PLLs, LDOs, Bandgap, ADC/DAC, etc.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ph.D. or Master's with 5+ years of experience in modeling of analog/RF circuits.
- Good understanding of emulation technologies and mixed-signal modeling requirements for synthesis-ready models.
- Experience in modeling with SystemC and/or C/C++.
- Experience in writing scripts in languages such as Perl or Python.
- Knowledge of signal processing using Python or Matlab.
- Good understanding of AMS and wireless circuits/systems.
- Experience with SystemC modeling and high-level synthesis.
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,300 and $225,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
