Senior Fire Protection Engineering Supervisor - West Coast
We are seeking an experienced Senior Fire Protection Engineering Supervisor to lead our fire protection engineering team on the West Coast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection engineering and will be responsible for overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards, and mentoring junior engineers. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality fire protection solutions to our clients while fostering innovation and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and supervise a team of fire protection engineers and designers in the development of fire protection systems.
- Oversee the design and implementation of fire protection strategies for various projects, ensuring compliance with NFPA codes and standards.
- Conduct reviews of fire protection designs and calculations to ensure accuracy and adherence to regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate fire protection systems into building designs.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables are met on schedule and within financial constraints.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to fire protection engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fire protection engineering, with a focus on design and system implementation.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards and fire alarm systems.
- Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and software such as Revit.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and mentor a team.
- Proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception through completion.
