Radio Frequency Test Engineer

Our client is hiring an RF Test and Integration Engineer to own the testing, qualification, and field deployment infrastructure used to prove that their RF hardware performs reliably on the bench, on the production floor, and in the field.

You will own bench characterization, regression coverage, and FCC compliance work for each hardware revision. You will also support site surveys, RF planning, deployment execution, and post deployment validation.

This role sits at the intersection of RF testing, embedded firmware, wireless systems, and field deployment.

• Run RF characterization and KPI testing using VSA, VSG, VNA, and spectrum analyzers.
• Validate the full radio chain, including chipset, PA, and activation network, and antenna.
• Build Python test frameworks and maintain regression testing for firmware and driver releases.
• Debug performance issues across RF hardware, firmware, drivers, PHY, and MAC.
• Support site surveys, RF planning, deployments, post deployment testing, and FCC pre compliance.

• 3 to 5 years of RF testing and characterization experience with production wireless hardware.
• Hands on experience with VSA, VSG, VNA, spectrum analyzers, and wireless KPIs such as EVM, ACLR, OBW, sensitivity, noise figure, output power, and link margin.
• Experience building Python test automation frameworks and working in Linux environments.
• Experience with sub GHz or ISM band systems, ideally within the 902 to 928 MHz range.
• Field deployment experience, including site surveys, RF planning, propagation analysis, and path loss validation.

• Knowledge of 802.11 standards, including Wi Fi HaLow.
• Experience with wireless hardware manufacturing.
• Familiarity with Morse Micro, Broadcom, or Cypress chipsets.
