JOB OVERVIEW

________________________________________________________________________________

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Systems Engineer with strong emphasis on electronics design and ECAD to lead the architecture and prototyping of embedded electronic systems. This role spans the full lifecycle—from concept through production-ready designs—with particular focus on PCB and FPC design, sensor systems, power electronics, and firmware integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Define system architecture and subsystem specifications
  • Evaluate new technologies and electronic components
  • Design sensor interfaces, analog front-end circuits, and data acquisition systems
  • Design and optimize PCB and FPC layouts (multi-layer, mixed-signal, high-speed)
  • Develop power management and battery systems
  • Create schematics and ECAD designs using tools like Altium or Cadence
  • Develop embedded firmware in C/C++
  • Implement control algorithms (PID, closed-loop systems)
  • Integrate communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, BLE)
  • Develop test automation scripts and perform validation
  • Collaborate with mechanical teams on FPC integration, stack-up, and packaging constraints
  • Work with EMS partners for manufacturing and DFM optimization

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Master’s degree in Embedded Systems or Electronics preferred

Experience

  • 7–12 years of experience in embedded systems development and electronics design
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in PCB design (schematic capture, layout, bring-up)
  • Proven experience with multi-layer, mixed-signal, and power electronics designs
  • Strong experience in ECAD tools (Altium, Cadence)

Required Qualifications

  • Strong system-level design and architecture experience
  • Extensive experience in electronics design including analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
  • Hands-on ECAD expertise for PCB and FPC design (schematic capture, layout, stack-up, routing)
  • Experience with high-density interconnect (HDI), impedance control, and power integrity
  • Knowledge of power electronics and battery systems
  • PCB design experience using Altium or Cadence
  • Embedded C/C++ development experience (ARM Cortex-M, RTOS, Linux)
  • Familiarity with wireless protocols and hardware-software integration
  • Python scripting for automation and data analysis
  • Experience with lab debugging and validation tools.
  • End-to-end ownership of PCB and FPC design from schematic to production
  • Design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for reliability (DFR)
  • Flexible PCB design considerations: bend radius, stack-up, material selection, and connector integration
  • Signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC considerations in layout
  • Close collaboration with mechanical teams for enclosure constraints and routing paths
  • Experience in prototype bring-up, rework, and validation of complex board.

Tools & Technologies

  • Simulation: SPICE, signal integrity and control modeling
  • Embedded development environments and debuggers
  • Lab equipment: oscilloscope, logic analyzer, DAQ
