Project Engineer Coastal, Waterfront & Dredging Projects- Northern California & San Francisco area

- Support coastal, waterfront, and dredging projects across ports, marinas, shorelines, marine infrastructure
- Work closely with project managers, scientists, and construction teams
- Help bring projects from concept through construction
- Marina and port facility upgrades
- Dredging and beneficial use planning
- Shoreline stabilization, dune/berm restoration, coastal resiliency efforts
- Marine terminal improvements and structural rehabilitations
- Perform coastal engineering analyses (wave and structural calculations)
- Develop/review design drawings, technical details, specifications
- Prepare construction documents (plans, specs, reports, memos)
- Provide construction technical oversight
- Respond to RFIs
- Review submittals
- Conduct site visits (Bay Area marine/coastal projects)
- Assist in shoreline stabilization planning, engineering, rehab, construction
- Apply firm's project delivery methodology for quality/schedule/cost control
- Evaluate project risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Maintain current knowledge of CA coastal/marine regulations
- Support Project Managers with schedules, budgets, task coordination, deliverable tracking
- Contribute to proposal development and technical best-practices library
- $70,/year (varies by experience, location, licensure)

- Bachelor's Degree Civil, Structural, Coastal, Marine, Ocean Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years engineering consulting experience (civil infrastructure)
- 4+ years hands-on construction oversight/field services
- EIT certification required
- PE license in CA (or ability to obtain within 24 months)
- Coastal/marine engineering experience
- Design-bid-build project experience
- Regulatory coordination / permitting negotiation experience
- Experience with proposals, cost estimates, funding strategies
- Familiarity with state/federal infrastructure grant/loan programs
- Growth-focused role:
