Job Description & How to Apply Below
Small team building a new analog-physical device and the custom silicon that reads and drives it. This role owns lab bring-up: get the module and the chip talking, measure what the hardware is actually doing, and turn those measurements into a repeatable test flow.
Not a transistor-design seat. You will work next to the analog IC designer. You do not have to design the readout chip. You do have to understand it well enough to bring it up and debug charge injection, offset drift, and noise.
What you will do- Own characterization and debug of MEMS / sensor-array hardware plus the companion readout or driver IC
- Measure device behavior on the bench (C-V, I-V, actuation / threshold, noise, parasitics, failure modes)
- Bring up silicon over I2C / SPI / I3C or equivalent
- Automate the rack (Python, LabVIEW, C#, FPGA/MCU — whatever you already use)
- Root-cause system issues with the IC and device teams and feed them real data
- Hands-on characterization of MEMS, inertial, acoustic, optical, or similar sensor devices
- Working knowledge of ROIC / AFE / ASIC interfaces — enough to drive and debug, not necessarily to design
- Test automation you have written yourself
- Probe station, SMU, LCR, or equivalent bench measurement experience
- Comfort owning work in a small hardware team
- Inven Sense / TDK, FLIR, TI DLP, Menlo, Knowles, Apple or Google sensor hardware
- MEMS microphones, gyros, scanning mirrors, microbolometers, capacitive arrays
- PCB / FPC bring-up
- Packaging, parasitics, or closed-loop control of a variable capacitive load
- Cadence-only analog design
- Production ATE / wafer-sort test software
