Were seeking a Vice President of Events to lead all aspects of REKs live event strategy and execution from intimate showcases to arena-scale international productions.

This leader will own the full lifecycle of REK events: sourcing and negotiating venues, managing production and operations teams, coordinating with broadcast and robotics crews, and delivering unforgettable live spectacles that define a new era of sport.

The VP of Events will ensure every REK event from

San Francisco to Tokyo andbeyond runs with the precision of a championship fight and the energy of a music festival.

• Design and execute REKs global event roadmap from pilot events to full-scale tournaments.
• Scout, evaluate, and secure new venues across the U.S., Asia, Europe, the Middle-East, and Africa.
• Develop scalable frameworks for recurring REK events and future regional circuits.
• Operational Excellence
  • Oversee logistics, permits, safety, load-in/out schedules, and production infrastructure.
  • Lead relationships with venue operators, local crews, unions, and city agencies.
  • Build systems for consistent quality, safety, and operational efficiency across events.
• Own six- and seven-figure event budgets; forecast, track, and report P&L performance.
• Negotiate vendor and contractor agreements with an eye for cost efficiency and reliability.
• Source and oversee A/V, staging, lighting, rigging, and broadcast production partners.
• Creative Integration
  • Collaborate with REKs robotics, media, and marketing teams to integrate live robot fights, VR/AR overlays, and immersive audience experiences.
  • Shape the look, pacing, and fan experience of REKs events outside of the main show, from when the attendee first sees the building where the event takes place all the way until they leave back to their car.
• Leadership & Team Building
  • Hire, train, and lead a growing team of event producers, stage managers, and on-site staff.
  • Establish strong collaboration with cross-functional teams (Broadcast, Marketing, Partnerships, Robotics).
  • Build playbooks and SOPs that enable global scalability.

• 10+ years leading large-scale live event operations, ideally with combat sports, esports, or arena-level entertainment

• Proven track record of producing 10+ major events with 10,000+ attendees or six-figure budgets
  .
• Deep understanding of venue operations, production logistics, broadcast integration, and safety protocols
  .
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex vendor networks under live pressure.
• Exceptional negotiation and budgeting skills.
• Comfortable traveling frequently and adapting to on-the-ground challenges.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to operate tactically when needed startup mentality meets championship execution.

• Background in UFC, boxing, motor sport, or esports event management.
• Familiarity with emerging tech entertainment (VR, AR, robotics, mixed reality).
• Global venue or festival production experience.
• Strong relationships within production, venue, and sponsorship ecosystems.

• Senior leadership position reporting directly to the CPO.
