About the Role:415 Presents will assume executive management of the historic Curran Theatre in April 2027. The Managing Director will serve as the senior administrative and strategic leader for the venue, overseeing day-to-day operations, revenue management, administrative functions, and serving as the primary contact for business operations.
The Managing Director will bring the vision for the theater to life: re-establishing the Curran as the most desired stage in San Francisco, where legacy inspires innovation and live entertainment moves our community forward. The Managing Director will work in close coordination with Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG)—who will continue booking Broadway content and supporting key operations. This role will be a dynamic, community minded ambassador who brings strong communication skills, sound financial judgment, creativity and collaborative leadership to operations, programming, and community relations.

Roles & Responsibilities Organizational Leadership & Strategy
- Provide overall leadership, vision, and operational direction for the venue in alignment with 415 Presents’ mission, core values, and strategic pillars for Curran Theatre.
- Lead the conception and operational execution of a 2027–2029 roadmap, ensuring key milestones, facility enhancements, and partner activations are met.

Every performance should leave the artist, the audience, and our city better than we found them. - Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture across administrative, facility, and event staff.
- Oversee day-to-day venue operations, administrative workflows, system efficiencies, and staff management.
- Serve as the primary liaison between venue ownership (415 Presents / SF Giants), primary operating partners (ATG), title partners, content promoters, and community stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant municipal, licensing, and safety regulations.
- Oversee capital planning and facility enhancements, including backstage/artist space upgrades and technical systems.
- Familiarity of local labor union requirements for venues is a major plus.
- Lead the annual budget process, programming P&Ls, long-range financial forecasting, and cash flow monitoring in partnership with ownership.
