A leading asset management firm is seeking a Senior Analyst, Risk & Data to strengthen its investment risk management and data analytics capabilities. This role partners closely with portfolio managers and senior investment leadership to deliver actionable insights, scalable analytics, and robust data solutions. ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Risk Management
- Monitor and analyze portfolio exposures, factor risks, and performance attribution on a recurring and ad-hoc basis
- Partner with portfolio managers to develop tools and analytics that support investment decision-making
- Clearly communicate risk insights to senior investment stakeholders
- Evaluate and manage third-party risk and data vendors
- Build and maintain automated reports, dashboards, and analytics
- Collaborate with technology teams to ensure data quality, consistency, and governance
- Contribute to enhancements in data infrastructure, including support for AI-enabled tools
- Serve as a resource for internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, technology) on investment risk and analytics questions
- Take ownership of initiatives that improve firm-wide data and risk capabilities
- 3–5 years of experience in data analytics and portfolio risk management
- Asset management or investment industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of equity portfolio risk, factor models, and performance attribution
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights
- Risk & analytics platforms such as Fact Set, Axioma, or similar
- SQL and Python for data analysis and automation
- Data visualization tools such as Tableau and/or Power BI
- Comfort adopting new technologies, including AI-driven tools
- A quick learner who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Someone who is open to being a resource and trusted partner across teams
- A professional who understands their role and actively looks for ways to add value and make a broader impact
- Strong communication skills, humility, and a high ethical standard
- Bachelor’s degree required (finance, economics, or quantitative field preferred)
- Progress toward CFA or similar designation is a plus
