Delagnes, Mitchell & Linder, LLP provides a wide range of tax services for our clients. Since 1981, our primary focus has been high net worth individuals, their related tax challenges, tax planning and tax preparation.
After the busy season...The ideal candidate will be involved in overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the organization. You will help us stay tax‑compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts
- Lead tax planning and consulting engagements, identifying opportunities to minimize tax exposure and support client goals
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong, long‑term relationships
- Research and interpret tax laws and regulations; provide clear guidance on complex technical matters
- Oversee multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and managers; provide performance feedback and coaching
- Review work papers and returns to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to firm standards
- Assist with IRS and state tax audits, examinations, and correspondence
- Collaborate with partners and leadership on firm initiatives, workflow management, and business development efforts
- Stay current on changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
- CPA license required
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years of progressive tax experience, preferably in public accounting
- Strong technical knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication and client service skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline‑driven environment
- Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office applications. Lacerte a plus
- Experience with complex tax planning and high‑net‑worth clients
- Exposure to multi‑state taxation and entity structuring
- Prior experience managing or training managers and senior staff
