Jefferies is seeking an equity research associate to support the Financial Institutions Group covering U.S. Large Cap Banks. The candidate will support the bank research team in delivering in-depth company and industry research on the largest and most complex U.S. financial institutions, constructing detailed financial and valuation models, and marketing written research recommendations to clients and institutional salespeople.
Compensation is competitive. Start date is immediate. This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to work with a highly respected U.S banks equity research team in a fast-paced, exciting environment.
Responsibilities- Creation and maintenance of earnings, balance sheet, capital, and valuation models for U.S. large cap banks.
- Analysis of industry and macroeconomic trends, including interest rates, credit, capital, funding, and regulatory developments.
- Production of weekly and monthly written research publications, including earnings previews and reviews.
- Development of relationships with management teams, investor relations professionals, and industry contacts.
- Communication of stock views and industry themes to institutional investors, trading desks, and other internal constituencies within Jefferies.
- 1-3 years of experience in equity research.
- Extremely strong work ethic with a focus on teamwork.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong quantitative aptitude and advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Intellectual interest in equity markets, macroeconomics, and the U.S. banking sector.
Primary Location Full Time Salary Range of $100,000 - $120,000.
