Community Vision is offering a unique opportunity for dedicated professionals to join their lending team as Loan Officers or Senior Loan Officers. The roles are crucial in advancing Community Vision’s mission of creating sustainable spaces. As part of their responsibilities, the recruits will work closely with clients to structure and underwrite innovative lending solutions, with a focus on social purpose real estate projects.
The candidates will be responsible for managing borrower relationships and supporting Community Vision’s initiative to secure communities by expanding lending relationships, and developing new loan products and processes. The Senior role includes additional duties such as product development, business development, and market leadership. Candidates will be expected to exhibit a keen interest in social impact and demonstrate strong credit analysis skills.
As members of the lending team, Loan Officers will play a vital role in ensuring that Community Vision meets its goals of fostering thriving communities through strategic financial services.
- Determine client borrowing needs and negotiate loan structures.
- Manage borrower relationships and the underwriting process.
- Support new borrowers, ensuring a smooth customer experience.
- Prepare detailed credit memorandums and present loan packages for approval.
- Manage multiple underwriting projects and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate data in Salesforce and support asset management.
- Identify borrower and product segments where capital is needed.
- Cultivate new borrower relationships and negotiate loans.
- Attend conferences and networking events.
- Actively contribute to loan process improvements.
- Senior Loan Officer:
Collaborate on developing new lending products and representing Community Vision at events.
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, finance, or business.
- 3+ years experience in a similar position (7+ for Senior Loan Officer).
- Experience as a credit underwriter or loan officer in real estate lending.
- Familiarity with community real estate financing programs is a plus.
- Experience in CDFIs or impact investing is beneficial.
- Proven record of meeting lending goals and using sales tools effectively.
- Excellent financial and credit analysis skills.
- Strong relationship management skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, Google Suite, and Zoom.
