Fund Accountant

A leading global private equity investment firm is seeking a Fund Accountant to join its San Francisco–based finance team. The firm manages multi-billion-dollar assets across international markets and invests across buyout, growth, venture capital, and special situations strategies.

• Maintain Fund and General Partner general ledgers, including recording expenses, accruals, intercompany transactions, investment activity, and LP allocations
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements
• Assist with annual audits and tax filings
• Monitor cash positions for assigned funds
• Calculate and process capital calls and distributions
• Partner with Investor Relations to respond to Limited Partner inquiries
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience
• At least one year in public accounting or relevant experience within private equity, venture capital, or fund administration preferred
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and general ledger accounting
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• High integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail
• Must be Bay Area–based (no relocation available)
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
