Finance & Banking Associate, Financial Analyst

Telescope Partners is looking to bring on an associate to play a key role in our small, but hard hitting team. The ideal candidate must be self‑motivated and intellectually curious team player that thrive in a fast‑pace, hustle‑always environment. This is a great opportunity to be part of a young team and firm while gaining exposure to all aspects of growth investing.

Telescope is a thesis‑driven, early growth investor for exceptional entrepreneurs building B2B software companies. Our approach is heavily focused on understanding markets and themes, and we put stock in the views of customers, influencers and market participants.

We’re a small team with a small portfolio by design, we create a bespoke, high‑touch investment relationship with each company we back. We value smarts in equal measure with personality and want to work with individuals who strive to get better every day. We are investing out of our third fund ($271 million).

This role has 3 main areas of responsibility:

• Thematic Support
• Investment Support & Sourcing

• 1-3 years of highly analytical experience in private equity, venture capital or investment banking
• Fluency with key financial metrics for software companies
• Experience with financial analysis and high proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated history of high level performance and ambition
• Ability and desire to thrive in an unstructured working environment
• Humble & self‑motivated; equipped with an entrepreneurial, positive, can‑do attitude
• High EQ (emotional intelligence) and the ability to anticipate needs and expectations
• A natural collaborator, true team‑player with low ego and a proactive disposition
• Fluent and/or highly curious about driving successful outcomes through artificial intelligence. Continuously investing the time to develop new skills in AI.
