For our client, we are seeking a Vice President Finance Planning And Analysis to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This role will strengthen forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes that guide business decisions. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a Pharmaceuticals & Biotech environment.

Location:

San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $300,000 – $350,000 annually.

Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise-wide FP&A function and establish financial plans
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Serve as senior finance business partner to executive leadership
  • Collaborate with Accounting on financials for partnerships and reporting
  • Maintain and refine internal valuation and scenario-modeling frameworks
  • Develop and scale a high-performing FP&A team focused on R&D
  • Advance financial analytics to support decision-making
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
  • 15+ years of progressive finance leadership experience
  • MBA and/or CPA or equivalent advanced credentials preferred
  • Extensive background in biotech or pharmaceutical R&D finance
  • Expertise in valuation, scenario modeling, and capital allocation
  • Strong executive leadership and team building skills
  • Proficient in sophisticated financial planning and ERP systems
