The Finance & Corporate Development team at Airwallex drives the company's financial strategy and growth. Our team focuses on financial planning, analysis, and corporate transactions to ensure Airwallex's long‑term success. We collaborate across departments to identify opportunities, manage risks, and execute strategic initiatives. Reporting directly to the Head of Strategic Finance, you will play a critical role in shaping Airwallex’s financial trajectory and influencing strategic decisions across the company. This is a high‑impact role that sits at the intersection of strategy, finance, and execution. You will work closely with senior leaders to evaluate opportunities, track performance, and ensure capital and resources are allocated to the areas that matter most.

You will bring strong financial modelling and analytical skills, paired with the strategic thinking required to solve open‑ended problems and influence decision‑making. This role is based in San Francisco.

• Build and maintain robust financial models, forecasts, and budgets to support strategic planning and day‑to‑day operational decision‑making
• Shape and communicate the company’s financial narrative through materials for investor updates, board presentations, and internal leadership reviews
• Support capital markets readiness by building financial scenarios, aligning internal metrics to external positioning, and preparing for potential fundraising or strategic transactions
• Partner with business leaders to evaluate the financial feasibility and strategic implications of key initiatives, including market expansion, product development, and strategic transactions such as partnerships, joint ventures, and M&A
• Analyse business performance to identify drivers, surface issues, and drive actions that strengthen execution and enable sustained, profitable growth
• Evaluate capital deployment across teams and initiatives, and support investment decisions that align with the company’s strategic goals and long‑term priorities
• Provide financial and strategic support on high‑impact, cross‑functional projects
• Improve internal finance processes, reporting, and tools to enhance transparency, decision‑making, and execution discipline across the organization
