Senior Financial Institutions Examiner
Salary: $8,825.00 - $11,598.00 per month
Location: San Francisco office (on‑site; telework may be available upon establishment)

Responsibilities- Participate in examinations of state‑licensed banks, foreign banking organizations, and trust companies in accordance with the Uniform Financial Institutions Rating System and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Serve as a team member or lead examiner depending on assignment.
- Prepare and report conclusions in memoranda of assigned areas and in Reports of Examination.
- Analyze examination data, adopt effective courses of action, and prepare accurate work papers and examination reports.
- Provide field training and mentoring for less experienced examiners.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and documents at all times.
- Background investigation clearance required before hiring (includes criminal background, fingerprinting, and review of governmental records).
- Prior experience in financial institution examination, auditing, or related work in California state service (see classification specification for details).
- Education equivalent to a college graduate in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, or a related field.
- Must meet the minimum qualifications stated in the Classification Specification.
The San Francisco office is located in the heart of the financial district, within walking distance of BART and restaurants. Parking is available for a fee. The position is on‑site; telework may be considered after establishment.
