This is a high-ownership, individual-contributor role working closely with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, and R&D. You'll join a lean, tenured team where your footprint will be immediate: real exposure to executive decision-making, a flat structure that puts you close to the CFO, and a mandate to bring analytical rigor to how Hover allocates capital.
You will contribute byOwning business-partner relationships across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Product, Design, and Data; driving the deeper analysis that turns what happened into how do we make it happen ; influencing where Hover invests next; and raising the bar on how Hover's finance function operates.
- Serve as the finance lead for cross-functional leaders through monthly closes, quarterly POR updates, the annual Plan, and the LRP.
- Evaluate ROI on GTM and product investments and benchmark resource allocation against peer companies.
- Pressure-test competing investments and give leadership a clear, defensible read on trade-offs.
- Partner with G&A peers across HR, Accounting, and Recruiting, and contribute to executive and board-level reporting.
- 5+ years in a finance business-partnership role with strong forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range planning experience.
- Ability to build models from scratch with ambiguous or imperfect inputs, including scenario modeling.
- Outstanding communication skills — able to distill complex analysis for any audience, from analysts to executives.
- Fluency with AI tools as part of your everyday workflow.
- Extreme attention to detail paired with a service mindset.
- Experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Net Suite, Adaptive, Pigment);
Hover plans in Drivetrain.
- ROI analysis experience in both GTM and product contexts.
- A track record of using AI to remove manual work from FP&A processes.
- Familiarity with metrics like NRR, sales payback, and Rule of 40.
