We areseekinga strategic, analytical, and highly organized Chief of Staff (CoS) to support the Controllership organization, which spans commercial controllership, NPI, accounting and finance operations, M&A and strategic partnership due diligence and integration,tax, andcorporateaudit.

This is a hybrid role —roughly half dedicated toCoSresponsibilities and theremainderto special projects and Controllership transformation initiatives.

You’llserve as a trusted advisor to the Controllership leadership team — keeping priorities aligned, operations running smoothly, and key financial and organizational initiatives moving forward.

Strong communication skills and a finance or accounting background are essential.

What You’ll Do

This role is eligible to be based out of Axon's US hubs located in Boston, New York City or San Francisco and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. Strategic & Operational Support

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CAO, driving execution of department priorities and organizational goals.
  • Enable effective decision-making by synthesizing information, conducting analyses, and preparing executive-level briefings, M /Q  materials, and presentations.
  • Lead special projects and strategic initiatives — including finance transformation, process automation, and system upgrades — in support of the company's rapid growth.

Financial & Business Insights

  • Analyze financial and operational data to surface strategic recommendations and drive performance improvements.
  • Partner with FP&A, Business Technology, Operations, and Sales on cross-functional initiatives and process optimization.
  • Own the generation and ongoing monitoring of the annual Controllership operating expense budget.
  • Prepare presentation materials for executive leadership (COO & CFO) and Audit Committee, and monitor KPIs, reporting timelines, and compliance milestones.

Team & Culture Enablement

  • Drive engagement, communication, andteam-building across the broader

    Controllership organization.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and hiring in partnership with HR.
  • Champion continuous improvement and change management across the finance function.

Communication & Coordination

  • Prepare internal communications, presentations, and dashboards for executive meetings, board updates, and audits.
  • Coordinate finance leadership meetings, set agendas, and ensuretimelyfollow-up on action items.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, ora related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations, with exposure to controllership functions.
  • Prior experience in FP&A, consulting, M&A, or a business partnership role is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of building and implementing new processes with a hands-on approach.
