Associate/Sr. Associate, Capital Markets

Basic Function

As part of the Capital Markets team, the Associate/Sr. Associate will support the execution of financing transactions across the company's data center and infrastructure portfolio. The role will provide exposure to project finance debt, bridge facilities, letters of credit, bonds, corporate debt, tax equity, and other structured financing solutions.

The position will work closely with senior members of the Capital Markets team on financial modeling, transaction analysis, due diligence, documentation, and financing execution. Over time, the individual will have the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility and ultimately lead financing transactions.

Responsibilities
  • Support financing transactions through financial modeling, analysis, due diligence, and transaction documentation.
  • Help identify and resolve issues to drive transactions toward financial close.
  • Develop relationships with external capital providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Support funding activities, including funding requests, flow of funds, closing deliverables, and coordination with financing agents.
  • Partner with M&A, FP&A, project development, procurement, construction, operations, and asset management teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve internal processes and execution.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Maintain high standards of business ethics.
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 3-6+ years of experience at a sponsor, investor/lender, or advisor within data centers, power, infrastructure, or real estate.
  • Data center finance experience required.
  • Transaction experience required, including exposure to project finance debt, tax equity, infrastructure debt, project bonds, structured finance, or data center finance.
  • Expert-level MS Excel skills. VBA knowledge is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ownership mentality with the ability to communicate ideas and take initiative.
  • Ability to produce high-quality work under tight deadlines while managing multiple active transactions.
  • Strong interest in learning and developing within capital markets.
Location

San Francisco Bay Area, San Diego, CA, or Denver, CO. Redwood City is strongly preferred. Hybrid office setup.

Base Pay

$100,000 - $165,000

The compensation range is a guideline and may vary based on experience, skills, location, market conditions, and internal equity. Total compensation may also include a discretionary annual bonus and comprehensive health and wellness benefits.
