DescriptionThe Role
DC Advisory is currently seeking an experienced Technology Vice President (VP) with relevant background working in Technology. The VP will be an integral part of DC Advisory’s fast-growing team across all group-related matters from client engagements to team development and career building.
VPs are expected to play a critical roleontransaction teams and make a positive impactforour clients. We partner with our employees to advanceeach individual’sunique career goals while providing consistent transparent feedback fostering personal and professional growth.
The VP willbe responsible for leading junior bankers on transaction execution teams while acting as a daily trainer and mentor to staff. This includes deal process management, resource management, review and provide oversight on materials and work product development, andwill also serve as theclientliaison for day-to‑day needs.
The VP will also be a key contributor to business development efforts that include idea generation and development,identifying key industry themes, drafting industry thought pieces, outbound prospect callingeffortsand other related marketing activities.
Summary of
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day transaction execution across all mandate types
- Lead a range of deal assignments including pitch and marketing materials, banker due diligence, client marketing materials development, industry research, financial modeling, and lead various in person client meetings
- Liaise with clients and prospective clients through both engaged transactions and in business development marketing situations
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions which may include management presentations andfacilitatedsessions with finance professionals, CEOs, Board Members, Financial Sponsors, and other leadership positions.
- Support the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Provide oversight,mentorship and training to junior investment bankerson a daily basis
- Oversee the creation of various financial models and analyses from the ground up with minimal direction
- Serve as role model to junior bankers byidentifyingtraining and learning opportunities as well as monitoring work quality
- Participate in the junior banker talent management programs – hiring,selection and training
Qualifications
- Demonstratesproficiencyin managing the investment banking transaction processes andusing appropriate judgment at all times
- Prior experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree required / MBA preferred
- Minimum of 6 years of prior investment banking or equivalent M&A experience
- SIE Exam, Series
79and Series 63required
