Float Relationship Banker

• Build relationships with customers through face-to-face engagement and provide financial counsel
• Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
• Obtain and process customer and account information
• Educate clients on deposit and loan products and services
• Recommend financial solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
• Originate and close consumer loans
• Open accounts and open and/or close the branch
• Conduct proactive client outreach and follow-up
• Identify solutions for new and existing clients
• Maintain knowledge of consumer and business banking products and digital services
• Greet clients and process basic transactions
• Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
• Open consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications
• Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products
• Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relationship Banker 2:
  Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
• Senior Relationship Banker:
  Typically has five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
• NMLS registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
• Required NMLS registration process includes a criminal background and credit check
• Ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
• Knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
• Knowledge of retail products and services
• Customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience participating in sales campaigns/promotions
• Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
• Ability to identify customers’ needs and make appropriate recommendations
• Compliance with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, and workplace conduct and safety policies

Demonstrates expertise in retail banking, including consumer and business account management, loan origination, and financial counseling. Proficient in utilizing digital banking products and fostering client relationships through proactive engagement and effective communication.
