Position: 2026 Investment Banking Senior Associate

This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced investment banking professional with a strong track record of transaction execution, analytical rigor, and client engagement. The ideal candidate will have several years of investment banking experience, a strong interest in technology, and the ability to take a leadership role across deal execution while working closely with senior bankers, clients, and junior team members.

Senior Associates at Growth Point play a key role in the execution and management of M&A, private placement, and strategic advisory engagements. They are responsible for driving financial analysis and transaction materials, coordinating due diligence and deal processes, managing Analysts and Associates, and serving as a day-to-day point of contact for clients. Senior Associates work closely with senior bankers on transaction strategy, business development, and client relationships.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of M&A, private placement, valuation, and other strategic advisory engagements
  • Manage transaction processes, timelines, work streams, and deliverables in coordination with senior bankers, clients, and external advisors
  • Develop and review financial models, valuation analyses, transaction analyses, and other quantitative work
  • Lead the preparation of pitch decks, confidential information presentations, management presentations, buyer and investor materials, and other client deliverables
  • Conduct and oversee industry, market sector, company, and transaction research
  • Coordinate and manage due diligence processes, including interaction with clients, counter parties, legal counsel, accountants, and other advisors
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day contact for clients throughout transaction execution
  • Provide guidance, mentorship, and oversight to Analysts and Associates, including reviewing work product and supporting professional development
  • Support senior bankers in developing transaction strategy, positioning, valuation, and negotiation materials
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, including identifying potential clients, transaction opportunities, buyers, investors, and strategic themes
  • Develop a strong understanding of client businesses, competitive landscapes, and relevant technology subsectors
  • Maintain a high standard of accuracy, responsiveness, judgment, and professionalism across all engagements

Areas of focus for the firm include all areas of technology, encompassing infrastructure and security software, enterprise software, storage, semiconductors, systems and communications technologies, mobile, gaming, and other emerging technology sectors.

Prerequisites & Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree from a top-tier university preferred
  • Approximately 4 to 6 years of investment banking, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or highly relevant transaction experience, with prior investment banking experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience executing M&A, private placement, or other strategic advisory transactions
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, accounting, and financial statement analysis skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple transaction work streams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience managing and developing junior team members
  • Strong client presence with excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of technology, finance, and capital markets
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and improve the work product of junior team members
  • Resourcefulness, sound judgment, intellectual curiosity, and a high level of personal accountability
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership of transaction execution from initial analysis through closing
