A fast-growing, well-capitalized mission driven private equity firm (~$2B AUM) is building a brand new function from the ground up, and they want the person who builds it in the room from day one.

This isn't a backfill. It's a genuine ground floor seat, created because the investment team needs real analytical firepower without diluting focus on deal execution. This is built for someone who wants real visibility into how a fund actually performs, without the grind of being on the deal team, and without wanting a path back into origination.

• Day to day performance tracking and reporting for one of the firm's core portfolio segments
• Visibility from high level metrics down to granular items like intra-month cash tracking against forecast
• Flagging variances early and clearly enough for the investment team to act on them
• Identifying when something looks stronger or weaker than expected and articulating the driver
• Preparing the investment team for recurring reporting sessions with clear, organized materials, so numbers are understood ahead of time, not discovered live

• 6+ years of experience from one of three backgrounds: an investment banker genuinely moving out of deal work, a PE associate already doing FP&A or portfolio work inside a fund, or a senior corporate FP&A professional doing real commercial work, not just close and consolidation
• Comfortable owning granular, detailed performance tracking without decision making authority
• A strong communicator who can flag an issue clearly without needing to personally fix it
• Genuinely not looking for a path into deal execution
• Low ego and collaborative, comfortable working alongside an investment team rather than on it

$200k–$240k base + discretionary bonus
