Sales & Use Tax Senior Manager

The Opportunity

As a Sales & Use Tax Senior Manager, you will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy, helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimize their indirect tax positions. Within our Tax practice, you will leverage your skills and professional networks to deliver quality results. You will motivate and coach others, coming together to solve complex problems.

As you increase in autonomy, you apply sound judgment, recognizing when to take action and when to escape. Your ability to develop and sustain diverse and inclusive teams, and your commitment to excellence, contributes to the success of our firm. In this role, you will craft and convey clear, impactful messages that tell a holistic story. You will apply systems thinking to identify underlying problems and opportunities, validate outcomes with clients, and act on client feedback.

Directing the team through complexity, you will demonstrate composure through ambiguous and challenging situations. You will deepen your skills with a focus on staying relevant, initiate open and honest coaching conversations, and make decisions to resolve issues hindering team effectiveness. • Leading strategic advisory initiatives in indirect tax planning and compliance for clients
• Navigating complex tax regulations to optimize client tax positions
• Managing and coaching teams to solve intricate tax‑related challenges
• Applying analytical thinking to identify and address underlying tax issues
• Crafting and conveying clear, impactful messages that tell a holistic story
• Validating outcomes with clients and acting on their feedback
• Directing teams through complex and uncertain situations with composure
• Developing and sustaining diverse and inclusive high‑performing teams
• Utilizing AI fluency and digital tooling to enhance tax service delivery
• Collaborating with clients to provide guidance on sales and use tax matters
• Engaging in continuous learning to deepen skills and stay relevant in the field

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• At least 6 years of experience
• At least one of the following:
  Certified Public Accountant, Member of the Bar or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity

• Leveraging AI fluency and AI‑human collaboration
• Utilizing analytical thinking and strategic questioning
• Demonstrating proficiency in indirect tax controversies
• Applying digital tooling for tax technology solutions
• Excelling in tax dispute resolution and tax litigations
• Developing skills in customs regulations and customs tariffs
• Building relationships through active listening and communication

Up to 20%

The salary range for this position is: $124,000 - $335,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
