Blackstone Credit & Insurance, Private Credit Strategies (Technology), 2027 Investment Associate, San Francisco

The Private Credit Strategies Group primarily focuses on providing private investment capital to upper‑middle‑market companies and private equity sponsors in connection with leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, growth financings and other corporate transactions, particularly within the software sector. The group utilizes a flexible approach when structuring investments, which may include senior debt (secured and unsecured), subordinated debt, preferred stock and/or private equity, thus providing candidates a chance to work on investments across the capital structure.

Candidates will expand both quantitative and qualitative skills through the investment process and will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of industries and investment types.

• Participate in all aspects of the investment process from initiation to close.
• Perform financial analysis, execution of transactions (including meeting and interacting with management teams as part of the due diligence process), industry research and competitive analysis, legal documentation and drafting of memoranda for internal and external use.
• Work on numerous projects at a time in various private investment opportunities, with a focus on software.
• Leverage a lean staffing model to share significant responsibility and manage deal flow efficiently.

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience from investment banking, private equity or private credit as of Summer 2027.
• Experience in analyzing financial statements and conducting due diligence.
• Exceptionally strong financial modeling skills.
• Strong organizational and process management skills.
• Strong communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to write effectively.
• A desire to work in a team environment, and the ability to think and work independently.

Expected annual base salary range: $140,000 - $140,000. Additional compensation and benefits include comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and FSA), paid time off, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, discretionary bonuses, and potential equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
