Financial Analyst
The Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting organizational decision-making by providing data, analysis, and insights that inform strategic initiatives and Board reporting requirements. This position is responsible for analyzing health plan, financial, operational, and statistical data; developing analytical models; preparing recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and financial summaries; performing forecasting, budgeting, and business analyses; supporting actuarial projects and regulatory filings;
and serving as a resource to leadership and cross-functional teams in evaluating business performance and strategic initiatives.
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets financial, operational, utilization, and statistical data to support organizational decision-making, strategic initiatives, and Board reporting requirements.
- Develops, maintains, and distributes recurring and ad hoc reports, dashboards, presentations, and analytical models related to revenues, medical expenses and utilization, capitation, risk scores, medical loss ratios, provider performance, and other key business metrics.
- Prepares financial and operational analyses, including trend analyses, variance analyses, forecasting, budgeting support, and performance monitoring to identify risks and opportunities impacting organizational results.
- Works closely with consulting actuaries and internal departments to support Medicare bids, rate‑setting, underwriting, risk score analyses, actuarial projects, and regulatory filings.
- Partners with leadership and cross‑functional teams to gather, validate, and analyze data; provide analytical support for business decisions; and identify opportunities for process improvement and reporting automation.
- Monitors regulatory and industry developments, evaluates their operational and financial impact on CCHP.
