Investment Associate

About the Role

This is an Investment Associate role at a well-established seed-stage venture capital firm, sitting at the heart of the investment team and working directly with partners across all stages of the investment lifecycle. The role is a rare opportunity to work closely with exceptional founders and help identify and support the next wave of high-impact technology companies.

• Partner closely with the founding team and investment staff across deal stages, from seed through growth and later-stage co-investments.
• Lead enterprise customer calls on behalf of portfolio companies, helping close major deals with large organizations.
• Support large-scale co-investments alongside top institutional limited partners.
• Develop and refine sourcing strategies to identify promising founders and investment opportunities.
• Provide high-touch, concierge-level support to a select group of portfolio founders, handling requests of any size.
• Keep the investment team organized and serve as a reliable, responsive resource for founders.

• 3 or more years of experience at a top-tier venture capital firm, high-growth startup, bulge bracket or elite boutique investment bank, or a leading management consulting firm.
• Strong proficiency in financial modeling and investment analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to perform deep technical and market due diligence.
• Degree from a highly ranked university.
• Proven world-class achievement in at least one domain, such as competitive programming, entrepreneurship, music, gaming, or writing.
• Direct experience working with or supporting company founders.
• A strong personal network of founders or technical talent.
• Humble, hungry, and fiercely competitive mindset, with genuine enthusiasm for supporting founders at every level.

Base salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in San Francisco, California, USA.
