Job DescriptionThe San Francisco Police Department is seeking civilian professionals to join our team as Community Police Services Aides (PSA). In this role, the PSA performs a variety of police-related duties under general supervision, supporting sworn personnel across a range of operational assignments.
- Work Location:
Assignments may include San Francisco International Airport, district stations, SFPD Headquarters, and other departmental locations. - Work Hours:
Must have flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts. Mandatory overtime may be required. - Work Environment:
Physical demands include occasional lifting up to 55 lbs., extended standing and walking, outdoor work in varying weather, and noisy environments.

One (1) year (2000 hours) of satisfactory full-time public contact or military experience; AND
Possession of a High School Diploma, or proof of successful completion of an equivalency test (GED, or California High School Proficiency Examination); AND
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Applicants must possess and maintain a valid driver license to operate an automobile at the time of application and throughout the selection process.
Note:
One year of full-time employment is equivalent to 2000 hours. (2000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week.) Any overtime hours that you work above forty (40) hours per week are not included in the calculation to determine full-time employment.
