Position: Principal Administrative Analyst (1824) - Multiple Departments Citywide (C00188)

Principal Administrative Analyst (1824) – Citywide

Full‑time, Citywide. In the role of Principal Administrative Analyst you will lead challenging and complex projects across budgeting, financial analysis, data, legislative compliance, program evaluation, and contract administration. Duties include evaluating policy, presenting findings to senior management, and overseeing budget development, grants management and departmental operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Policy and Administrative Analysis – evaluate and recommend on complex administrative and policy issues.
  • Data and Research Analysis – direct surveys, studies and research; analyze multi‑source data and formulate recommendations.
  • Legislative and Regulatory Compliance – analyze legislation, regulations and court decisions; advise management and present reports.
  • Program Evaluation and Management – assess programs, develop performance measures and recommend policies.
  • Financial and Economic Analysis – forecast, perform cost‑benefit analysis and produce financial reports.
  • Budget Development and Management – prepare benchmarks, narratives and negotiate budget proposals.
  • Capital Projects and Grants Management – manage multi‑source projects and ensure compliance.
  • Contractual Agreement Management – develop, negotiate and administer complex contracts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five (5) years full‑time professional analytical experience in areas such as budgeting, contracts, grants, policy or related functions.
  • Graduate degree (Master’s or higher) with coursework in public or business administration, law, policy, economics, statistics, finance or related fields may substitute for one year of experience.
  • Up to two years of additional experience may substitute for the required degree on a year‑for‑year basis.
