Under the general direction of the Program Manager of Public Advocates Office’s Safety Branch, the Program and Project Supervisor (PPS) of the Wildfire Safety Section supervises the staff comprised of utilities engineers and regulatory analysts who conduct investigations, develop analyses, make appropriate recommendations in CPUC formal safety proceedings and other forums.
Public Advocates Office’s Safety Branch is responsible for representing ratepayer interests on safety-related issues across all industries, including general rate cases (risk assessment mitigation phase), wildfires, emergency response protocols, physical and cyber security, service restoration, and emergency preparedness and response. The Wildfire Safety Section has primary responsibility for safety issues on wildfire and electric safety issues.

This is a hybrid position that will require the selected candidate to report to their assigned headquarters office a minimum of two (2) days a week. Hybrid positions may be eligible for telework under California Government Code Section 14200 for eligible applicants residing in California. In accordance with CPUC Telework Policy, telework arrangements are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
