• San Francisco County Jails
• Community Behavioral Health Services
• Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center
• Various clinics and health centers throughout the city and county

• Review, process, compound, prepare, label, and dispense medication orders and prescriptions.
• Monitor drug therapy for appropriateness, contraindications, interactions, adverse effects, and therapeutic/toxic dosing.
• Communicate drug information and provide medication counseling to patients and health‑care personnel.
• Conduct quality assurance through drug‑use evaluations and medication area inspections.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise support personnel as required.

• Inpatient Pharmacy (ZSFG): Prepare IV admixtures and chemotherapy; manage unresolved medication issues; provide therapeutic drug monitoring; prioritize daily workflow.
• Jail Health Positions: Act as Pharmacist‑in‑Charge of the facility pharmacy ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations.
• Behavioral Health Services: Dispense mental‑health and substance‑use prescriptions; navigate insurance and formulary; support client medication counseling.
• Laguna Honda Hospital: Dispense geriatric prescriptions; prepare extemporaneous products; conduct monthly chart reviews and medication area inspections.

• Valid Registered Pharmacist license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy (current status).
• Minimum experience:
  
  6 months in inpatient pharmacy (within last five years) or 1 year in pharmacy informatics (within last three years) depending on position.
• Optional:
  Bilingual fluency, security clearance with the San Francisco Sheriff’s Department, 340B experience, and Epic certification where applicable.
