We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to perform clinical tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Measure and record vital signs accurately for patients during their visits.
- Assist with patient intake procedures, including obtaining medical histories and preparing patients for examinations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation of medication administration.
- Perform outpatient procedures under the supervision of healthcare providers, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to infection control standards.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional patient care in internal medicine and medical-surgical settings.
- Minimum 3-5 years of Medical Assisting experience required
- Intramuscular and subcutaneous injections.
- Proficient in medical administrative support functions, including electronic health records management.
- Strong understanding of vital signs measurement techniques and interpretation.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to various specialties, particularly internal medicine.
- Knowledge of human physiology to assist in patient assessments effectively.
- Experience in outpatient care settings is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform basic coding for insurance purposes is advantageous.
- Competence in medication administration practices within a clinical environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail while multitasking effectively in a busy setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members alike.
