SCHEDULE: Hybrid 4 days onsite, 1 day remote;
On-call Weekends and Holidays
TNDC’s Clinical Manager provides leadership, support, and clinical expertise to TNDC’s Social Work Unit to improve the wellbeing and health of our PSH tenants across our portfolio of family, senior, and single adult properties across San Francisco. With a focus on training, systems improvement, and clinical support, the Clinical Manager will guide TNDC to improve prevention and early intervention of behavioral health crises, expand access to substance abuse and mental health treatment, and strengthen our front‑line social work staff capacity to provide high‑quality supportive services that meet the needs of our most vulnerable tenants.

- Identify, coordinate and oversee delivery of clinical training needs for Social Work Unit.
- Improve and maintain training, standards, and systems for tenant intakes and assessments.
- Select and lead conferences for high priority cases, including selecting cases for discussion, reviewing case records, assessing treatment needs, and modifying plans as necessary.
- Facilitate critical incident reviews in relevant situations and provide expert advice for social work team members on acute situations.
- Confer with staff regularly on clinical techniques, case progress, professional development and quality of care oversight.
- Improve policy and practice to improve early warning systems, minimize the impact of mental health emergencies, and facilitate a swift return to stability.
- Improve third‑party services access and referral systems and increase transparency in the system referral process.
- Collaborate with the Director of Social Work and Community Services in efforts to leverage CalAIM benefits through assessment and planning for Medi‑Cal billing and expanding partnerships with existing Medi‑Cal providers.
- Oversee the development and implementation of our Social Work Internship program, including supervision and documentation.
- Serve as a member of the Social Work Unit’s Management team and collaborate with the Director of Social Work and Community Services and Supportive Services Managers to provide unit leadership, maintain a clear vision for our work, and reflect our organizational and departmental values.

- MA/MS degree in Social Work or related field required.
- LCSW, MFT, or LPCC certification required.
- At least four (4) years’ experience in a supportive housing setting working with multi‑diagnosed, low‑income, homeless, or formerly homeless adults.
- Demonstrated ability to implement and improve operational or program practices, policies, and systems.
- At least two (2) years of proven leadership and hands‑on experience training and managing case managers or resident services personnel.
- Strong clinical assessment and crisis management skills.
- Demonstrated analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Extensive knowledge of available behavioral health, substance abuse, and other services and supports available to single adults, families and seniors, ideally in San Francisco.
- Expertise in harm reduction, trauma informed, care, housing first and other evidence‑based supportive services models.
- Ability to effectively manage time (schedules, deadlines, etc.) and paper (forms, documents, etc.).
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
