Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy
The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing prescriptions and coordinating clinical services for specialty medications at the branch location. This role involves direct interaction with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication therapy. The Pharmacist will also support prescription adjudication, prior authorizations, and clinical follow-ups while maintaining compliance with all pharmacy regulations and quality standards.
Job Description- Dispense prescription medications and perform final quality checks to ensure accuracy, dosage, and compliance
- Review patient profiles for drug interactions, allergies, sensitivities, and appropriate drug utilization
- Determine when prescriptions require physician clarification or therapeutic intervention
- Communicate with physicians and healthcare providers to resolve prescription-related issues
- Interact with patients via phone or written communication to address medication questions and concerns
- Enter and process prescriptions accurately in the pharmacy system
- Resolve third-party rejections and assist with prior authorizations as needed
- Manage and resolve orders through the External Adjudication (EA) queue
- Maintain compliance with quality assurance standards, controlled substance regulations, and hazardous drug disposal procedures
- Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure safe and efficient workflow
- Support patient services and assist with clinical coordination as assigned
Previous pharmacy experience in specialty pharmacy preferred. Appropriate state license required. Experience in home mail order, specialty pharmacy, or PBM is preferred. Basic computer skills required. Strong organizational skill, interpersonal skills and detail orientation important for this position. Minimum of one year's pharmacy experience in a retail or specialty pharmacy setting preferred.

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or Pharm
D. also required with at least two years experience as a pharmacist. Must have an active license in good standing for the state of CA.
