Job Summary
Under supervision, guided by policies and procedures of the Ambulatory Services and in collaboration with the Clinical Nursing Staff, the Hospital Assistant III assists in the delivery of care to patients in an ambulatory multi‑specialty group practice. The role includes a variety of personal care and nursing procedures, ensures positive care outcomes, performs assigned patient care and laboratory procedures in support of primary and specialty services, and adheres to the Telephone and House Standards adopted by the Medical Center.
The Hospital Assistant III will float and support clinics in all ambulatory sites under the Department of Dermatology.
Salary range: $32.86 – $41.01 per hour. Final salary may vary based on experience, internal equity, UC policy approvals, and collective bargaining agreements.
Qualifications- Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program.
- Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned.
- Current TB test.
- Current American Heart Association CPR license.
- Experience with Epic health record computer systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- One year of experience as a medical assistant.
Current American Heart Association CPR Certification.
