Spectrum Psych is expanding to San Francisco and seeking our first full-time Clinical Director to join our growing Bay Area team.
About Spectrum PsychSpectrum Psych offers wraparound psychological and psychiatric care for neurodivergent clients across the lifespan — including diagnostic evaluation, psychotherapy, occupational therapy, medication management, yoga therapy, and support groups. We specialize in supporting individuals and families navigating autism, ADHD, anxiety, and mood-related concerns in a warm, strengths-based environment.
DescriptionAbout the Role
Spectrum Psych LA is expanding to San Francisco, and we are seeking an experienced Clinical Director to lead and shape our Bay Area team. This is a unique opportunity to help build the foundation of our new location while working within a highly collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming, and growth-oriented practice.
The Clinical Director will provide direct clinical services—psychotherapy and psychological evaluations—while also serving in a leadership capacity to support clinicians, uphold clinical excellence, and foster a cohesive, compassionate team culture. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in San Francisco.
As our senior clinician on the ground, you will play a key role in establishing best practices, shaping the clinical vision of our SF office, and supporting Spectrum Psych LA’s mission of coordinated, holistic care.
What You’ll DoClinical Responsibilities
- Provide neurodivergent-affirming, skills-based psychotherapy
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental evaluations
- Develop individualized treatment plans and maintain timely, high-quality documentation
- Offer parent consultation and family support
- Collaborate with other providers to ensure coordinated care
- Participate in case consultations, clinical meetings, and ongoing professional development
- Serve as the first clinical lead for our San Francisco team
- Proactively network with local San Francisco providers to increase clinic visibility, expand referral networks, and support community-integrated care
- Provide clinical guidance, mentorship, and consultation to clinicians and/or trainees as the team grows
- Support onboarding processes for new hires in the Bay Area
- Uphold and model Spectrum Psych LA’s neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based framework
- Assist leadership with developing systems, workflows, and a cohesive clinical culture
- Help shape program offerings and clinical services for the SF office
- Collaborate with leadership on quality assurance, clinical operations, and best practices
- Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD) in California
- 5+ years of clinical experience preferred
- Experience working with autism, ADHD, learning disorders, anxiety, and mood disorders
- Strong CBT background (PEERS® certification is a plus)
- Leadership, supervision, or clinical mentorship experience strongly preferred
- Excellent clinical documentation and communication skills
- Commitment to neurodiversity-affirming and identity-affirming care
- Team-oriented, collaborative, and aligned with a warm, strengths-based approach
- Excitement about helping establish and grow a new office within an expanding practice

- $150,000 annual salary
