Job Summary

The ADA/504 Compliance Officer, reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor/Director of the Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (OPHD), is responsible for working closely with the campus and health system partners and community members, including also those with disabilities at UCSF, to identify and address barriers, design solutions, build awareness of disability issues, and overall, make UCSF a desirable employer, healthcare provider, and educational institution for everyone, including persons with disabilities.

The role is responsible for design, execution, and assessment of programs that advance the strategic goals and values of UCSF.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification  positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $118,300 - $268,900 (Annual Rate).

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related area (such as higher education, business, policy and/or healthcare) and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 10+ years of experience with issues related to disability and knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (this may include any aspect of this work including student disability management, employee accomodations, accesibility within facilites and construction)
  • Demonstrated project management and organizational skills to track and report on progress of multiple projects and resolution of issues, develop timelines and plans of action, and identify and communicate with appropriate units responsible for various aspects of new and ongoing projects
  • Ability to anticipate problems and issues, and resourcefulness to determine appropriate solutions and act to mitigate potential negative effects in unplanned situations
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential issues that require independent judgment and strict discretion and maintain strict confidentiality of privileged information.
