Overview
We are seeking a full‑time Data Analysis Supervisor to become an integral part of our team in the Department of Neurology role supports epidemiological studies aimed at identifying risk and protective factors related to or the development of treatments for Parkinson’s disease.
Unless candidate is relocating to San Francisco, local candidates from the Bay Area are encouraged to apply. The position requires a minimum of 2 days onsite at the Weill Institute for Neurosciences.
Responsibilities- Provide oversight, training and support in statistical and data‑related principles to other employees.
- Develop data management and analytic plans; design relational databases and dynamic reporting systems to oversee study progress.
- Develop and implement data quality control plans and measures.
- Integrate and organize study data from various platforms and develop data dictionaries.
- Oversee/supervise and/or conduct primary statistical analyses, including multivariate and longitudinal data analyses.
- Develop reporting tools to present complex data to lay and scientific audiences.
- Provide support in the development of academic products such as abstracts and manuscripts.
- Collaborate weekly with the Principal Investigator (PI) and research staff to ensure research objectives are met.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related area and minimum five years of experience, including three in a lead/supervisory role or equivalent.
- Broad knowledge of data collection and reporting systems.
- Strong knowledge of biostatistical methods.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in statistics and data analysis packages such as SPSS, SAS, R, Python, or equivalent.
- Experience in relational database or event tracking database design, development and maintenance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for presenting summary reports, charts, tables, and visual aids.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills; ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
- At least three years of experience working with large datasets; complex datasets preferred.
- Process oriented with strong documentation skills and strong organizational skills.
- Self‑motivated, positive attitude, strong attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of monitoring staffing levels, recruitment, and training procedures.
- Familiarity with survey programming software such as Qualtrics, REDCap, or other survey tools.
- Knowledge of clinical and epidemiologic studies.
- Working knowledge of neurology and/or Parkinson’s disease.
- Specialized knowledge of data security measures.
Salary range: $98,300 – $150,000 (Annual Rate).
