Compassionate Registered Substance Use Counselor Needed!
Position OverviewThe Substance Use Counselor will be responsible for assisting patients with medically assisted treatments and providing techniques for managing opioid use. The counselor conducts individual and group sessions to address crisis management and coping strategies, evaluates patient progress, and collaborates with doctors, nurses, and other counselors to improve outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide individual and group counseling services; maintain direct service hours at scheduled intervals; coordinate all services throughout treatment.
- Complete bio‑psychosocial assessment.
- Facilitate, establish and review the initial treatment plan with each patient.
- Develop after‑care and discharge plans.
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
- Registered counselor in the State of California.
- Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals is a plus. Must demonstrate a positive, non‑judgmental, and accepting attitude toward the patient population.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
Salary ranges from $28.34 to $29.34 an hour. The final salary will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to experience, education, specialty, and training.
