The Policy Analyst will support key programmatic, research, outreach, and educational initiatives led by the Principal Investigator. Responsibilities include coordinating project activities, scheduling and meetings, managing project deliverables, assisting with grant and manuscript preparation, and facilitating communication with internal and external partners - all with a high level of professionalism and collaboration.

The Analyst will apply professional concepts and research methods to conduct analytical projects of moderate scope addressing policy, research, and procedural issues in community-based women's health research in the U.S. South. The position provides comprehensive in-person and remote coordination, analytical, and operational support for the implementation of social network research activities focused on HIV, sexual and reproductive health, and reproductive justice, in partnership with community-based stakeholders and participants across the region.

Working collaboratively with academic investigators, clinical teams, and research personnel, the Analyst ensures effective data collection, analysis, and research dissemination. The position requires the ability to examine complex issues, gather and interpret data, assess policy and programmatic alternatives, and develop sound, evidence-based recommendations that advance reproductive health equity.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification  positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $24.38 - $50.38 (Step Hourly Rate).

ANSIRH
Advancing New Standards in Reproductive Health (ANSIRH) is a collaborative research group at the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and a program of the San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) Division of the Department of ObGyn & RS. The program is a part of the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health which leads research and training programs around the world to improve reproductive and sexual health.

At ANSIRH, we conduct innovative, rigorous, multidisciplinary research on complex issues related to people's sexual and reproductive lives. Our work is informed by understanding the role that structural inequities play in shaping health. We believe in the importance of research in advancing evidence-based policy, practice, and public discourse to improve reproductive wellbeing. The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, & Reproductive Sciences (ObGyn & RS) is a major academic department in the School of Medicine committed to providing quality health care services, educating health care providers and investigators, and conducting research to advance knowledge in our field. The Department is nationally recognized for research and training in women's health care specialties This position is based at the Department's San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) Division, a large teaching, research, and clinical site.

The SFGH Division of the Department of ObGyn & RS is home to ~40 faculty, 8 academic researchers, and 110 staff; fellows, residents, and other trainees; and the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health. Our mission in the SFGH Division of the Department of Ob-Gyn & RS is to promote justice, quality, and equity in women's health care. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and minimum three years of experience or equivalent experience / training.
  • Proficient in ability to multi-task with demanding time frames, and Ability to process and prioritize competing tasks and responsibilities.
  • Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques.
  • Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite tools and End Note.
