Must Have:
- Will be taking care of logistics of samples.
- Registration of samples in the biorepository system.
- Maintaining the tissue samples.
- Adhere to aseptic guidelines and gowning techniques.
- Process large number of samples in a day (from 30-150 tissue samples)
Will Consider Someone Within The Following:
- Hospital lab working experience.
- Industry experience (example: Lab Corp/Quest diagnostics/pharma/biotech) CRO
Qualifications:
Required
Education:
Associate's degree OR Bachelor's degree with equivalent direct work experience of minimum two (2) years of in laboratory setting within hospital/pharma/biotech or CRO.
• Proficiency in working with tabular data (i.e. Microsoft Excel)
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong written communication skills
• Proven track record of analytical skills, problem solving and attention to detail.
• High personal integrity and credibility
Preferred
Experience and Skills:
- Proficiency in Labware Biorepository database, or similar tissue banking software
- Prior experience in sample management
- Prior experience in logistics
Note:
100% onsite lab based role at SSF,CA site.
Responsibilities:
The Anatomic Pathology Group within Client Research Laboratories in South San Francisco is seeking a contractor with attention to detail who can support front-to-back sample management and shipment organization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inventory and registration of tissue samples.
- Label tissue samples according to internal identification and tissue type.
- Catalog stained slides and FFPE tissue blocks for archival purposes.
- Communicate closely with external vendors to organize periodic shipments.
- May be asked to manage various tasks in support of the Anatomic Pathology laboratory human tissue panels.
