Luxe Bites is a fast-growing luxury catering and events company specializing in elevated food experiences, interactive food carts, corporate events, and brand activations.
We are looking for a highly dependable, organized, and hands‑on Kitchen & Event Manager to help lead our San Francisco operations. This is an important leadership position for someone who is comfortable taking ownership, communicating with a diverse team, and ensuring our kitchen and events consistently meet Luxe Bites standards.
ResponsibilitiesKitchen & Operations
- Oversee day‑to‑day kitchen operations and preparation for upcoming events
- Manage inventory and ensure ingredients, supplies, packaging, and event materials are properly stocked
- Complete local inventory and supply runs as needed
- Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient kitchen
- Review upcoming events and ensure everything is prepped, packed, labeled, and ready on time
- Communicate inventory shortages or operational needs to management
- Ensure food presentation, portions, packaging, and preparation meet company standards
Event Management
- Lead and manage on‑site events throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area
- Coordinate event setup, service, breakdown, and cleanup
- Direct event staff and clearly communicate responsibilities
- Ensure events are executed professionally and according to Luxe Bites standards
- Troubleshoot issues on‑site and make confident decisions when needed
- Occasionally assist with nearby order deliveries/drop‑offs
Team Leadership & Communication
- Serve as a key point of communication between management and the SF team
- Clearly communicate instructions, expectations, schedules, and company standards
- Train and support team members
- Hold the team accountable for punctuality, professionalism, cleanliness, presentation, and performance
- Work effectively with a multicultural team
- Help bridge communication with team members who have limited English proficiency
- Spanish-speaking/bilingual candidates are strongly preferred
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license
- Must have flexible/open availability throughout the week
, including weekdays, weekends, mornings, and evenings depending on event schedules - Prior experience in catering, events, hospitality, restaurants, kitchen management, or a similar leadership role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Comfortable managing and directing a team
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple events and priorities
- Reliable, punctual, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Comfortable driving locally for inventory runs and occasional nearby deliveries
- Able to lift and move catering/event supplies as needed
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment where schedules may change based on event needs
- Spanish/English bilingual strongly preferred
$27–$30/hour, depending on experience
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands‑on and wants to take ownership of a growing catering operation. We are looking for someone who doesn't need to be micromanaged, communicates well, notices what needs to be done, and takes initiative.
