About Standard Bots

Standard Bots builds robotic solutions for real‑world automation. We design, build, test, ship, and deploy systems that move real things in real factories. It’s fast‑paced, cross‑functional, and occasionally fueled by late‑night Slack threads and ambitious deadlines. Great people make that possible.

Role Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Technical Recruiter to help us scale the engineering and technical teams that power Standard Bots. This is a hands‑on, full‑cycle role for someone who has lived through startup hypergrowth and knows how to hire exceptional talent when priorities shift, roles evolve mid‑search, and “urgent” sometimes means yesterday.

Your role will primarily focus on owning technical recruiting end‑to‑end, partnering closely with hiring managers across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations. While most of our open roles have a technical lean, we’re an All‑Hands‑On‑Deck recruiting team. Willingness to jump in and help fill roles across different orgs (i.e. Sales, Marketing, G&A, etc.) is key. You’ll build pipelines before we panic, run tight interview processes, and close candidates who have options.

Startup experience is required! You’ve hired in environments where job descriptions are living documents and headcount plans move fast. You're comfortable reading between the lines to get to the heart of what our hiring managers are seeking.

Location:

Preference will be given for candidates one of our hub cities: NYC, Glen Cove, NY (Long Island) Seattle, or SF. All candidates must currently reside in the U.S.

Note:
We are unable to offer Visa sponsorship at this time.

What You’ll Do Full-cycle ownership
  • Own recruiting for technical roles across software, robotics, electrical/mechanical engineering, manufacturing, and field teams.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define what “great” looks like, calibrate interview plans, and drive efficient decision‑making.
  • Run tight processes from sourcing to offer, keeping candidates warm and stakeholders aligned.
Proactive sourcing & AI‑enabled execution
  • Build and maintain pipelines for critical technical roles before they become fire drills.
  • Continuously evaluate and implement creative sourcing strategies and outreach messaging. Sometimes, these things will be powered by AI‑driven tools, and sometimes it will mean working with what we’ve got. Proven success working in scrappy, resourceful environments is a strong plus!
  • Lead offer discussions and close top‑tier talent in competitive markets.
Process & partnership
  • Bring structure to ambiguity. Improve workflows, reduce time‑to‑fill, and keep the hiring bar high.
  • Be a strategic thought partner to identify and work through any existing or potential bottlenecks related to candidate criteria, job descriptions/titles, interview process, etc.
  • Maintain excellent ATS data hygiene. Data plays a critical role in understanding hiring trends, bottlenecks and drop‑off points. Clean data and timely ATS updates are the name of the game!
  • Deliver a candidate experience that feels organized, thoughtful, and human even when things are moving fast internally.
What You’ve Done
  • 5+ years of full‑cycle technical recruiting experience.
  • Direct experience recruiting in startups or high‑growth environments where priorities shift quickly.
  • Proven track record hiring engineers and other technical talent in competitive markets.
  • Strong sourcing skills with comfort running outbound‑heavy searches.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent roles without dropping details.
  • Clear communicator who can translate technical requirements and influence stakeholders.
Nice to have
  • Experience hiring in robotics, hardware, automation, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience building recruiting processes from the ground up.
  • Experience using AI tools and recruiting automation platforms to improve sourcing, screening, workflow efficiency, and reporting.
  • Comfort using recruiting metrics and dashboards to drive decisions and improvements.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $125,000 to $175,000, depending on experience and geographic location. Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at Standard Bots. All Full‑Time Employees are eligible for Employee Stock Options. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full‑time employees.

Compensation Range: $125K - $175K
