Overview
Are you ready to lead the evolution of Amazon's most critical case management infrastructure? The Paragon Case Storage team is seeking an exceptional Software Development Manager III to drive the next generation of our platform that processes millions of customer interactions daily.
What You'll Own- Platform Transformation Leadership:
Lead the strategic evolution of CMS-Interface, impacting 200+ Amazon business teams; drive architectural decisions for a system handling petabytes of case data across multiple regions; own the technical roadmap for case storage APIs serving seller support, transportation, compliance, and advertising operations. - Team Excellence & Growth:
Build and scale a world-class engineering team of 12-15 senior engineers; establish engineering excellence standards for a platform with 99.99% uptime requirements; mentor technical leaders and foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence. - Customer-Obsessed Innovation:
Partner directly with business teams to understand evolving case management needs; drive feature development that reduces case resolution time by 40%; champion data-driven decisions using comprehensive metrics and customer feedback.
You'll tackle problems at Amazon scale:
- Data Volume:
Process 50M+ case operations monthly with sub-100ms latency - Multi-Tenancy:
Ensure secure isolation across diverse business requirements - Global Scale:
Maintain consistency across multiple AWS regions - API Evolution:
Modernize legacy systems while maintaining backward compatibility
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
