Bull City Talent Group's direct client is seeking an experienced Commercial Data Architect to manage and scale day-to-day commercial data operations across multiple therapeutic areas. This is a hands‑on, execution‑oriented role focused on vendor coordination, data quality, issue resolution, and continuous improvement of their commercial data ecosystem supporting sales and analytics.
This role will act as the central owner of commercial data operations, working closely with data aggregation, master data management, data warehouse, and reporting vendors, as well as internal Commercial IT and business stakeholders.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Own day‑to‑day commercial data management, including data refreshes, validation, and issue resolution
- Coordinate with external vendors (data aggregation - SP/SD/Hub, data warehouse, reporting/analytics) to ensure timely and accurate data delivery
- Identify, triage, and drive resolution of data quality and integration issues (L2/L3 escalation)
- Serve as the primary Commercial IT contact for data‑related questions, incidents, and enhancement requests
- Manage and prioritize data enhancement backlog, translating business needs into clear technical requirements
- Partner with Commercial application teams (e.g. Customer / Payer MDM, CDW, Veeva CRM, Align, Patient CRM) to ensure data alignment
- Monitor downstream reporting impacts and proactively address data gaps or inconsistencies
- Ensure all data processes meet validation, and company IT governance standards
- Document data flows, dependencies, and operational procedures to support scalability
- 5+ years supporting pharma commercial data platforms in a hands‑on role
- Strong experience with commercial data aggregation, master data management, data warehousing, and field and HQ reporting
- Strong SQL skills with hands‑on experience working across AWS‑based data platforms, including Redshift, Power BI, Veeva CRM, and Reltio
- Proven ability to independently run data operations and manage multiple vendors
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders
- Experience with Service Now (or similar) for incident/change management preferred
- Experience with launch readiness or scaling data for new products or affiliates preferred
- Consulting or contractor background in Commercial IT or Data Operations preferred
