Digital Forensic Consultant - West Coast

This position is a contract role for 4-6 months with the potential to become permanent.

Rate: $60 per hour, up to $100,000 annually upon permanent placement.

We are seeking an experienced Digital Forensic Specialist to join a boutique consultancy, handling complex forensic cases for clients nationwide, with a focus on California. The role involves leading forensic collections and data management.

• Manage forensic cases end-to-end, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Perform remote and on-site data collections accurately and efficiently.
• Lead and mentor forensic investigation teams.
• Maintain strict policy standards in the forensic lab environment.
• Develop workflows for new data types.
• Collaborate to troubleshoot forensic challenges.
• Travel approximately 30% to client sites in Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, Arizona, Las Vegas, and Oregon.

• Experience managing forensic cases and data collection methodologies.
• Ability to conduct remote and on-site data collections.
• Willingness to travel within California, especially LA.
• Strong understanding of policy standards in forensic labs.
• Ability to document and develop workflows for complex data types.
• Current experience in digital forensics within a vendor or consultancy setting.
• US Citizenship with at least 5 years of continuous residency (security clearance requirement).
