Overview
Want to know how Kindle Operating System works? Do you have amazing problem solving skills in debugging/identifying issues within the operating system stack? Look no further! Amazon Kindle is a customised operating system that is purpose built and optimised for book reading (and note-writing) purposes. As a support engineer, you will mine through large sets of logs to identify patterns of data, own monitoring key metrics, maintain dashboards for them, and create automated alarms to detect failures.
You will partner with multiple teams internally for successful root-causing of issues and in creating generic dashboards to monitor the health of Kindle.
- Mine through large sets of logs to identify patterns of data

- Partner with multiple teams internally for successful root-causing of issues
- Create generic dashboards to monitor the health of Kindle
- 2+ years of software development, or 3+ years of technical support experience
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
- Experience troubleshooting & maintaining hardware & software RAID
- Experience with REST web services, XML, JSON
