Resident Consultant

* Hold network information gathering workshops to understand the Customer’s existing network design and technical requirements of new network designs.
* Troubleshoot network design and architecture issues.
* Provide network design leadership, assisting in identifying and building solutions.
* Analyze network and device configurations.
* Test product features and functionality
* Provide deployment guidance to ensure consistent implementations with design specifications.
* Facilitate informal workshops to transfer knowledge to engineering staff.
* Apply industry best practices to network design, planning, and implementation.
* Apply extensive industry experience to optimize network performance and proactively analyze potential enhancements.
* Evaluate technical specifications for interoperability.
* Troubleshoot equipment and network problems, work with JTAC to resolve problems on pre- and post-production issues.
* Produce a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment and network problems regularly to the Customer
* Train the Customer’s design, implementation, and support personnel to configure and operate the Juniper Networks products
* Assist in developing Network Operating and Equipment Operating Procedures
* Support the production environment of Juniper products within the Customer infrastructure
* Support ongoing efforts in defining best practice policies for Juniper product applications used by Customer
* Ability to communicate effectively in crises with all levels of an organization from Engineering/Operations to CIO/CISO audiences.
* Ability to refine and translate complex requirements and execute best practice solutions.
* Assisted with major network upgrades, maintenance windows, and changes in the customer network.
* Strong customer interface and presentation skills.
* Customer education – TOI’s and Lunch & Learns.
* Other tasks and duties as needed to support the customer and/or business
* Minimum 10 years of design, implementation, and operational experience in large-scale IP networks.
* JUNOS CLI experience.
* Must have large-scale experience with Juniper hardware (MX, EX, QFX, SRX and MIST products)
* EVPN-VXLAN Campus & Data Center Juniper switching fabric experience
* SRX high-end/mid-range/branch experience (FW policy, IPS, IPSec VPN, HA clustering)
* Experience with core routing BGP, OSPF protocols.
* Experience with design and/or deployment of routing and switching products within the Customer infrastructure.
* Experience using, evaluating, and developing appropriate engineering design tools and software packages.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Extensive experience EVPN/MPLS. E-Line (VPWS), E-LAN (VPLS), L3

VPN over MPLS, IS-IS, RSVP-TE, LDP
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language. Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.
* JNCIE Certifications are highly preferred.
